Help in solving Criminal Cases

Forensic genealogy is the use of genetic genealogy techniques to identify individuals or their relatives for legal or investigative purposes. It involves using DNA testing and traditional genealogical research methods to build family trees and trace lineages to identify unknown individuals, solve crimes, or establish relationships in legal cases.

Forensic genealogy is commonly used in criminal investigations to identify suspects by matching DNA samples found at crime scenes with those in databases or by tracing the suspect’s family tree to find a close relative with a matching DNA profile. It has also been used to identify human remains, to determine the identities of abandoned or kidnapped children, and to establish paternity in legal cases.

Forensic Genealogy - Crime Scene DNA Analysis

Research and Analysis of DNA existing at a specific crime scene:

Our Main Objective is to supply information to Law Enforcement as an additional tool in helping solve those hard casesFAST

Forensic Genetic Genealogy:  Using Genetic Genealogy we work to identify a subject of a crime by connecting to relatives in public databases and build (reverse engineer as I like to call it) a family tree of the said perpetrator.

Phenotype:  Using Phenotyping we can predict the physical characteristics, ie … hair color, skin, iris, facial features, height and ancestry, all from their DNA.

DNA Kinship:  We can determine the kinship between other DNA samples and the suspect up to 5th or 6th cousins.

For on-going criminal cases where the DNA does not point to anyone who is in the CODIS database, we can help.  We will assist in finding the person responsible for the crime by reverse engineering  the Genealogy of the perpetrator by using the DNA to make his family tree.  This will result in a better investigative lead, narrowing the number of suspects, and solving cases where you may have human remains, saving time and money by not going down one rabbit hole after another.

Our research starts with the DNA which was collected at the crime scene or biological evidence gathered on your specific criminal case.  We can take this information and predict the ancestry of this unknown person, perform “Reverse Engineering” of the family tree and supply an analysis of the next steps to take in solving the crime.

It may be that a phenotype would be helpful, if so that can also be produced which would incude a report and sketch.  After using our services, you will find that you can conclude your investigations more efficiently with less time invested.

Forensic Genetic Genealogy is putting a new face on solving crimes quickly and efficiently. Let us help put a name to your crime.
