Who we are

Rosalie "Jan" Taylor, Genetic Genealogist
In an effort to help adoptees and those interested finding out more about their heritage, I decided to add Genetic Genealogy to my resume, doing research for clients who needed answers on their family tree. By using DNA, I was able to reverse engineer the family tree for my clients who were adoptees or were looking for paternity answers. I offer my services in the area of Forensic Genealogy for cold cases or even hot (current) cases with crime scene analysis where DNA is available but no connection is found in CODIS.
I have spent my lifetime doing genealogy for myself and others. I started my personal journey when Iwas 26 years old, when researching meant hours of looking at microfilm and reading countless numbers of books on history of various states and cities. The search was definitely tedious to say the least. But, it was so exciting when we finally were able to have a thing called World Tree. This certainly made it easier. We would order discs containing census, marriage and birth records for certain states and certain periods of time. It was still a lot of research as you would insert the floppy disc and research for hours. The internet certainly changed the way we do research today.
This is my life, helping individuals find answers to family secrets or questions that have lingered with regard to their families. 5
